In order to promote the knowledge of environment and health and cultivate undergraduate’s awareness of environment and health, "Environment and Health"popular science knowledge was held together by Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Joint Laboratory for Contaminants Exposure and Health, Guangdong Key Laboratory of Environmental Catalysis and Health Risk Control, and Guangdong Society of Environmental Sciences Professional Committee on Pollutant Exposure and Health Risk Control on May 26, in building 3 of Guangdong University of Technology.

The activity includes three parts.Firstly professor Yu Yingxin showed the college students around the exhibition board andbring a rich content, wonderful environmental and health science knowledge feast,stimulating their enthusiasm of environmental protection. Then Dr.MaShengtao leaded the students to visit the key laboratory. Finally,professor Yu Yingxin and associate professor Zhangweina reported on“Phthalate esters and their health hazards”and“Atmospheric photochemical oxidation mechanism of VOCs”,respectively.In the process of reporting, students concentrated on thinking about the questions raised by teachers, and actively participated in interaction. The scene atmosphere was very active.

Thescience popularization activities cultivated college students’environmental awareness of caring for the environment and paying attention to healthy life throughexhibition, report and communication,to promote students to become researchers, practitioners, propagandists and supervisors of environmental protection.
